Eleanor Sands Obituary

Known for her strength and grace, Eleanor Sands of Warminster passed away November 25, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born in 1932 in Langhorne to the late Angelo and Marie Spadaccino (Matteo).

Shortly before she passed, Eleanor described her life as "a great ride." Even though she did face a few bumps on her journey, she always found a way to rise above them and live her best life. She was born during the depression, the youngest of seven brothers and a sister. Her high school academic acuity earned her membership in the National Honor Society at Langhorne High School. She started her career in banking at a young age and continued until her retirement working for Fidelity and Wells Fargo Banks. Eleanor always valued hard work and was so proud of her children's academic achievements. She was an incredible cook, took pride in her home, and had a great passion for flowers. Later in life, she became an ardent fan of the Phillies, Eagles and playing cards with her friends. She also was an active participant in To Live Again, where she made many close friends.

Eleanor's top priority was her family. When she passed, she was surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her best times were those spent celebrating holidays and family events. She was also a good friend and referred to by many as a "lovely, classy person." She will be missed.

Eleanor is predeceased by her loving husband Robert N. Sands. She is also predeceased in death by her seven brothers, Anthony Spadaccino, Angelo Spadaccino, Samuel Spadaccino, Rocco Spadaccino, Dominick Spadaccino, Louis Spadaccino, Leo Spadaccino and sister, Clara Ciccerelli.

Eleanor is survived by her three loving children, Jeffrey Sands and his wife Patricia of Rocky Hill, CT, Randall Sands and his wife Marianne of Brookville, MD, Laurie Sands and her husband Steven Porter of Lambertville, NJ. She adored her seven grandchildren, Jacquelyn Gaulin (Christopher), Courtney Hurczyn (Andrew), Lauren Sands (Tristan Barsky), Matthew Sands (Emily), Yardley Gates (Grant), Venesa Porter, and Nicole Porter. She was blessed to spend time with her seven great grandchildren, Madelyn, Logan, Addison, Colt, Austin, Knox, and Evelyn.

Family and Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA. (at Holland Rd) from 5pm to 7pm. Family and friends are also invited to visit again on Thursday, December 4th at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA. from 10am to 11am. A funeral mass will follow. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
