Eleanor Zorn Obituary
Eleanor R. (Russell) Zorn, age 97, of Banksville, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Robert H. Zorn. Loving mother of Roger (Jeanne) Zorn and Randal (Mary) Zorn. Cherished grandma of Nicholas (Elena) Zorn, Erich (Liz) Zorn, Andrew (Josefina) Zorn, Courtney (John) Carr, Matthew Zorn and Sarah Zorn. Loving great grandma of Jade, Bailey and Dorian Carr, Acadia, Luca, Cora, Henry, Olivia and Victor Zorn. Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Rose (Gurcak) Russell. Loving sister of Fr. James Russell, Mary Ann (James) Culhane and the late Robert (Janice) Russell. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Eleanor studied Culinary Arts at Connolly Vocational School and worked for several Stouffer Restaurants (Pete and Charlies) and also at the Sweet Shop in Green Tree. She was an excellent Domestic Chef. Family and friends are welcome on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 2-4 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:00 am in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, SS Simon and Jude Church. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
