On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Eleanora H. "Bunny" Gaither, age 87, passed away at home in Yakima, Washington, surrounded by family and friends. Bunny was born on July 9, 1938, to Robert and Eleanora Homberg in Annapolis, Maryland.
On November 21, 1958, she married her lifelong love, Bob "Robert" Gaither. This November will mark their 67th wedding anniversary.
Over the years, Bunny volunteered countless hours to various committees within the VFW. Most recently, she donated her time and talents to both Landmark and Brookdale.
Bunny is survived by her husband, Robert Gaither Sr., son, Robert Gaither Jr., daughter, Tracey Anderson, granddaughters, Stephanie Vandersluis and AmyJo Murphy, grandson, Steve Anderson, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She is predeceased by two sisters and one brother.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 11:30am to 12:30pm, at Brookside Funeral Home. A Graveside Service located at Terrace Heights Cemetery, at 1:00pm, where she will be laid to rest.
