Eleni G Arvanitis

Eleni G. Arvanitis (nee Karonis) aged 90, fell asleep in Lord on February 9, 2025. Eleni was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George N. Arvanitis, she was a loving mother of Nicholas Arvanitis, Patty (the late Gus) Hotousiotis, and Aleca (David) Lesiak, proud grandmother of Dr. George (Melpomeni) Hotousiotis, Nicholas Hotousiotis, Christopher Lesiak and George Lesiak, fond aunt and cousin to many. Eleni was born with humble roots on November 29,1934 in the village she loved so much, Nestani, Greece. She was married to her beloved husband, the late George, where they had a partnership that exemplified love and commitment. She came to America in 1975 and worked hard to support her family and remained true to her culture and faith. She was most proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She also leaves many other family members in Greece and in Australia and friends who will sadly miss her. May her memory be eternal. Visitation Thursday, February 13 at St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2350 E Dempster St, Des Plaines at 9:30AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
