Eli Ball

Eli Ball, age 17 of Muscadine, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, after a tragic auto accident. Born on August 31, 2006, in Carrollton, he was the son of Jonathan Stephen McCollum and Heather Jo Ball. Eli is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Edward McCollum.
Eli was a young man who loved life, playing football and always found a way to have fun. Charming, funny, and always respectful, he was greatly loved by his classmates and teachers. Eli was a bright spot in the lives of many. A senior at Ranburne High School, he had big plans for his future and was so excited that graduation was within sight.
Survivors include his father and mother, Jonathan Stephen McCollum and Heather Jo Ball; a daughter of Eli and Steffany, Huntley Mae Woody; sisters, Kenslyn Olivia Madden, Destiny Denman and Ella Gray; brother, Kian Richard McCollum; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Geraldine Ball; paternal grandmother, Lisa Ann Pierce; and a host of other family and friends, as well as many special friends and family at Ranburne High School.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM (Georgia Time) with Brother Mike Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Muscadine with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ashton Ball, Jacob Peyton, Jordan Beal, Gavin English, Jace Wilson, Cody Cothran, Kian McCollum and Cody Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Mabry, Jacob Smith, Logan Ball, Taylor Elliot, Braxton Sprayberry, Dillon Pierce, and David Bell..
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel in Buchanan..
