Eli James Hoffman, age 32, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at his home.
He was born on January 17, 1993, in Jefferson City, the son of Steven "Steve" Douglas Hoffman and Pamela "Pam" Linnet (Tinder) Hopkins. He was united in marriage to Destiny Haily Murrell on September 30, 2017, and of this union, two children were born.
Eli, a beloved father, brother, and friend, was a man who lived life with passion, intelligence, style and a boundless entrepreneurial spirit. Born with an innate curiosity, Eli graduated from Jefferson City High School in 2011 and quickly set out to make his mark in the world. As a teenager, he began designing computer software, showcasing his impressive technical skills that would later serve as the foundation for many of his ventures.
Eli's entrepreneurial drive led him to team up with his best friend, Cody, to open "Quik Play," an arcade and vending business. Together, they created a unique blend of business and entertainment, spending countless hours filming their experiences for their YouTube subscribers. They documented the process of collecting money, refilling machines with candy and toys, and brought their audience along for the ride. Eli's daughter Lilly even joined in on the fun, making guest appearances in their videos, a testament to the loving family dynamic Eli cherished so deeply. Eli and Cody's friendship was one of a kind-they were able to make anything funny, their humor perfectly complementing each other's, creating laughter and memories that will last forever.
Eli's work ethic was unmatched; he was a hard worker, always looking for new opportunities and dedicated to every endeavor he pursued. His commitment to fitness and health was equally strong, as he always strived to stay in top physical shape, maintaining a lean and strong physique.
As a father, Eli's love for his daughters was his greatest pride. He was an affectionate and proud "girl dad". His biggest joy was seeing them grow and their love for him was immeasurable.
Eli's personality, both big and warm, was something that became evident once you got to know him. He loved sharing his vibrant humor and personality with those who truly knew him and strangers alike. He was sweet, polite, and kind, with a smile that could light up any room. Eli was also a protective big brother to Sam, enjoying the simple joys of fishing and spending time outdoors with family.
Whether it was his business ventures, family, or friendships, Eli poured himself into everything he did, and his dedication to those he loved never wavered. His memory will live on through the laughter he shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so generously to everyone lucky enough to know him.
Eli is survived by his wife, Destiny of Jefferson City; two daughters, Lilly Ann and Paislee Linnet Hoffman both of Jefferson City; his father, Steven Hoffman of Jefferson City; mother, Pam Hopkins (Dan) of Hartsburg, Mo.; one brother, Samuel "Sam" Hoffman of Jefferson City; grandmother, Linda Tinder of Jefferson City; mother-in-law, Melanie Davis (Danny) of Lebanon, Mo.; aunt, Sheri Hoffman; cousins, Tanner Hoffman and Bella Hoffman; uncle, Mike Hoffman; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and members of his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James "Jim" Tinder; paternal grandmother, Martina Boyd; grandfather, Brian Smith; and maternal great-grandparents, Paul and Zola Close.
A celebration of Eli's life will be held at a future date to be determined.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
