Elaine L. Vitello, a cherished member of the Keansburg community and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 4, 1959, in the vibrant state of Louisiana, Elaine's zest for life and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Elaine spent her childhood in the warm embrace of New Orleans, where she developed a love for the rich culture and lively spirit of her hometown. Her youthful days were filled with the sounds of jazz and the sights of Mardi Gras parades, which instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for celebration and community.
After moving to Keansburg, Elaine quickly became a beloved figure in the town. Her dedication to the Keansburg School District, where she worked as a janitor, was evident in the pride she took in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for the students and staff. Elaine's hard work and warm smile made her a friend to many in the school community.
Elaine's love for her family knew no bounds. She was a devoted mother to Jennifer Elberson of Louisiana, Chrissie and Jason Bulin of Keansburg, Hope Hoagland of Louisiana and Patricia Van Metter of Keansburg, shared a special bond with Elaine that was nurtured through shared memories and unwavering support. Elaine's joy was multiplied by nine with the arrival of each of her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "Granny"
Elaine's passions extended beyond her professional life and into the realms of leisure and entertainment. She was a fixture at the summer concerts on the beach, where her laughter mingled with the music and the sea breeze. Family vacations were a highlight of Elaine's year, offering precious moments of togetherness and adventure. Her love for dining out was well-known, as she relished the opportunity to gather with loved ones over a good meal.
A huge fan of horror films, Elaine delighted in the thrills and chills of the genre. Her enthusiasm for these cinematic experiences was contagious, often drawing friends and family into her world of suspense and excitement.
Elaine's legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift. As the sun sets on Elaine's earthly journey, we remember a life lived fully, a heart given freely, and a spirit that will forever dance in the streets of New Orleans and the shores of Red Bank.
Elaine Vitello's life was a testament to the beauty of embracing every moment with passion and kindness. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her stories, laughter, and love remain etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elaine's life on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 2PM to 4 PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals Inc 233 Carr Ave Keansburg
