Elias Medina Hernandez, Sr., born on March 24, 1974, in San Isidro de Crucitas, Guanajuato, peacefully passed away in his home on May 24, 2025, in Jarrell, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and an indomitable spirit.
Elias was a diligent and dedicated individual who found great joy in his career working with insulation. Through sheer determination and perseverance, he rose to the position of foreman, a testament to his commitment to excellence and his love for doing what he was good at. His work ethic was admired by many, making him a respected figure among his fellow blue-collar workers.
Beyond his career, Elias embraced life with a passion that extended into his hobbies and interests. He had an unwavering love for all sports teams, showcasing this passion through his extensive collection of hats, each tailored for different occasions. Whether engaging in sports with family, reveling in nature's beauty, or singing joyfully, he appreciated the simple pleasures of life. His travels to the ranch in Mexico were cherished moments spent with family, further reflecting his deep love for those around him.
Elias was not just known for his hard work but also for his generous and warm-hearted nature. He often welcomed anyone in need, sharing food from his grill with a smile, regardless of whether he knew them or not. Known for his infectious positivity and big heart, Elias was the type of person who would gladly give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His favorite catchphrase, “Puro para delante y nada para atras y con Dios todo se puede,” will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing him, encapsulating his resilient spirit and unwavering faith.
He is survived by his beloved sons, Elias Medina Jr., Benjamin Isai Medina, and Jonathan, along with his cherished grandson, Mason Medina. His family also includes daughter-in-law Marlenne Medina, stepmother Mari Arroyo and siblings David, Ilda, Abel, Rigoberto, Tomas, Elvira, Eliseo, Margarita, Abigail, Maurilio, Abel, Daniel, Erika, Enrique, and Fernando Medina.
Elias now rests alongside his dear parents, Tomas Medina and Juana Hernandez, and siblings Lorena Medina, Eliseo Medina and Juan, and his daughter Alexi Eliana Medina, who predeceased him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him as a loving father, a committed worker, and a compassionate soul whose impact will never fade.
