Bellingham, Washington - Elida Castaneda, aged 92, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on August 25, 1932, in Mercedes, Texas, to Enrique and Francesca Ruiz.
A funeral service to honor Elida's life will take place on Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, located at 205 12th St., Lynden, WA 98264. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale, WA 98248.
In lieu of flowers Elida's family requests donation to be made to Whatcom Hospice.
