Elijah T. "Man" McDonald
March 12, 1977 – May 6, 2025
Mr. Elijah T. McDonald, 48, of Camden, Arkansas passed away after a long period of illnesses on May 6, 2025, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. McDonald was a beloved son, brother, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He surrendered his life to Christ at an early age under the guidance of Pastor Chester L. Thompson at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Camden Arkansas. After he got older, he united with Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ in Camden. He moved to Little Rock for employment purposes and worshipped with St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined and he was no longer able to attend in person. He was a proud 1996 graduate of Camden-Fairview High School.
Elijah was born to the late Mr. Sammy McDonald, Jr. and Mrs. Mary L. Martin – Wesley on March 12, 1977, in Magnolia, Arkansas and was the eldest of three children born to that union. He was preceded in death by his father, Sammy McDonald, Jr. His paternal grandparents, Mr. Sammy McDonald, Sr. and Mrs. Myrtle Lee McDonald. His maternal grandparents, Mr. Clint Miller and Mrs. Eula Miller. Two aunts, Ms. Diane Eason and Ms. Myrtle Marie McDonald and a grandson, Cayden Griffin.
He is survived by the love of his life and mother of his children, Ms. Triffany McDonald. His mother and bonus dad, Elder Allen Wesley and Mrs. Mary L. Martin-Wesley. His children, DeAnthony McDonald, Trameshia McDonald, and TeQuawn McDonald, all of Camden, Arkansas. His bonus children by way of marriage, Jonathan Wimberley, Chris Wimberley and Brianna Dobbins, all of Little Rock, Arkansas. His siblings, Gene McDonald, Stephanie McDonald, and Marie McDonald all of Camden. Arkansas. Bonus sisters and brother, Elnora Wesley and Tena Wesley of Little Rock, Arkansas, Keshia Oliver of Dallas, Texas and Kelsey Bowens of Little Rock. His additional family who has been with and beside him his whole life, the entire Wesley family. His aunts, uncles, six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers.
Elijah was a truck driver by profession but loved hot rod cars and trucks or any other kind of race car, mechanics, truck driving and all types of music. He especially loved his children and grandchildren and would go to any limit to make sure they got what they needed and almost all that they wanted, even in his time of sickness.
His service will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Greater Love Church, 447 Sycamore Ave. SW, Camden, Arkansas 71701, Where Bishop Junius E. Williams will serve as Officiant and Pastor Phillip Crutchfield will serve as the Eulogist. A local visitation on Friday March 16, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in the Hamilton Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street,
Stamps, Arkansas and a visitation at Greater Love from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. just before his service. His interment will be immediately following his service in Memorial Park Cemetery, 759 Maul Road, Camden, Arkansas, 71701.
Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of everyone's health and well-being.
