Elinor Jean Wikoff went home to the Lord on March 21, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on April 3, 1930 to Christian parents John and Elsie Kearney. She was the third of four children, with an older brother Jack and older sister, Virginia (Ginny), and a younger brother, Tom.
Marv and Ellie met in 1975 and married in 1976, sharing a true love story for 29 years until Marv's passing in 2005. They were active in their church, took square dancing, and enjoyed traveling together
Ellie was the best role model for her 8 children: Lenny (Gail), Sandy (Dave), Alan (Deby), Steve (Corinne), Marvin Keith (Lori), Cindy (Bernie), Marla (Bob) and Monica.
Ellie was a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She had 13 grandchildren: Lisa, Mike, Billy, Scott, Stephanie, Stevie, Jill, Adam, Erin, Bret, Trent, Jennifer Renee, and Terry; 14 great-grandchildren: Amber, Heather, Jennifer J, Dakota, Jennifer M, Candice, Nina, Simon, Harrison, Ian, Kate, Ruth, Luke and Dorian; and 2 great-great-grandchildren: Allison and Leah.
Ellie was a devout follower of her Lord Jesus for nearly 94 years, rarely missing a Sunday church service or special worship. She also had an enthusiasm for staying fit and active, as an avid walker and participating in 26 years of water aerobics at the Senior Center of South Lyon. She was also an accomplished quilter and created many works of art.
Ellie is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her son Steven and her daughter-in-law Gail.
Ellie is a perfect example of a life well-lived. Her quiet strength, sense of humor and kind, gentle soul will be deeply missed by her many family and friends.
