Elisabeta Stanciu

February 19,1939 to October 1, 2025. Elisabeta Stanciu, (affectionately known as Mindruta) age 86 currently of Phoenix, Arizona and formerly of New York passed away on October 1, 2025. She was born in Bucharest, Romania, where she married her husband Ion Stanciu in 1965. She was a talented and artistic individual, and she always had an impeccable penmanship. Elisabeta worked as an Engineer in Bucharest, Romania before immigrating to the United States in 1975 where she raised her two children, Michaela and Adrian. Her family always came first, and they remained her priority throughout her life. She made many family friends and both her and her husband Ion worked hard to support their family after immigrating to the United States. She later retired and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2006. Her husband of 52 years Ion (Nelu) died on November 1, 2017.She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Elisabeta was the youngest of the three siblings, survived by her two children, Michaela and Adrian as well as her four grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Kyrsteyn and Amy. She is also survived by two nieces and a nephew as well as grandnieces and nephews and a few first cousins all living on the East Coast. She was a very giving individual and a spiritual person who regularly attended church. We all loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed by all. We celebrate her strength and life journey as she leaves this world and continues the spiritual path.
Services & Viewing: On Wednesday, October 8, 2025. From 10 am to 1 pm Viewing will take place at: Messinger Mortuaries, 7601 East Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, Phone (480) 945-9521.
Church Services are on October 9th at 10:30 AM followed by the final goodbyes at the Cemetery. Cemetery Services are at 12:00 noon.
