Dave Banerjea, age 65, was surrounded by loved ones as he passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025.
Dave was an extraordinary man, so it is no surprise that he led an extraordinary life! Dave was always preceded by his intellect, followed by his warm smile and calm demeanor. He was such a kind and gracious person who compassionately offered a listening ear, and when requested, sound advice. Dave was a firm believer in all people being created equal while humbly helping those who others gave no time.
In his spare time, Dave wrote articles for Quality Digest Magazine and was on the Forbes Council which he also wrote articles. He was an active world traveler, enjoyed researching ancient artifacts & fossils, avid reader of nonfiction, watching documentaries and Sci-Fi with his wife, enjoyed good music, fine art, complex architecture, meeting new people, fine food and spirits, and he loved spending quality time with his family and friends.
Dave met his loving wife 45 years ago at a Halloween party, where they quickly became inseparable. Both were hard working, self reliant students planning a future together that no one could ever claim as their own.
Dave was a Respiratory Therapist while following in his father's footsteps to become an Engineer. In his 3rd year at WSU, he became somewhat of a computer & software hobbyist. After some time had passed, he transitioned to a less demanding factory position in order to have a more balanced study work life. He quickly saw the need to efficiently track and log necessary calibrations, as well as other legally required system inspections. He went home and began to write the software to efficiently keep an organized and accurate log for this time consuming, but legally necessary task. It wasn't long before he realized that his journey was taking him on a different path. Dave and his like minded wife teamed up and worked tirelessly together for decades, sacrificing all else, while frugally saving in order to create the life and legacy that they envisioned. Little did Dave know that he'd go on to build an empire of quality control!
Through many hardships, he and his supportive wife started their company 37 years ago and are the leading developer and worldwide distributors of calibration software. The company still employs today some of the same people as from its conception.
This truly is a testament as to how they treated and respected others, and how they also longed to see others succeed. One of Dave's favorite quote was "Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life"!
Dave was preceded in death by a younger brother, younger sister, his mother, and his father. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, a younger sister, a niece, and a nephew. They adored and deeply miss his beautiful qualities such as his loving heart, dry humor, need for order, clean nature, and unwavering focus for completion. Although not a loud and boisterous person, Dave was kind and loving in his actions. He was always good to others even if it meant sacrificing a bit of himself.
A special thanks to all of Dave's extended family, childhood friends, employees, and wonderful cousins for their unwavering and unconditional love and support.
We invite you to join us at Dave's remembrance this Saturday, October 11, 2025 beginning at 5pm at Messinger Mortuary located on 7601 E Indian School Rd,
Scottsdale, AZ 85251 in the Chapel.
Even in his last days, he remained so thoughtful. So as Dave requested, there will also be a private service at a later undisclosed date; He asked this in order to give time for out of town family and friends to make their travel arrangements. We ask that the public please respect this time as we mourn our loss of a truly great man.
Please write down any beautiful or funny stories, and any special pictures of Dave you'd like to add to a memory book. This act of kindness will surely bring his grieving family joy and peace during this difficult time.
Thank you all for your offers of comfort and prayers. They are truly appreciated.
