Elisabeth A. Kelley, M.D - - known to everyone as "Lisa" passed away on September 30, 2023 at 12:41 pm. Lisa was at work at Children's Healthcare diligently doing post-office-hour medical charts when she suffered a massive brain aneurysm. She was on life support and never regained consciousness before her heart stopped two days later.
Lisa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and pediatrician who took care of numerous Batesville children over the last 30 years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, riding her Peloton and refinishing Mid-Century Modern furniture.
She was an Angel on earth for 62 years and is now an Angel in heaven. She is also an organ donor and is helping others in death, just like she did in life.
Lisa is survived by her husband, B.J. Kelley, her children, Connor Kelley and Emily Kelley Bauer (spouses, Claire Heppner Kelley and Ryan Bauer) - - Lisa's three grandchildren, Lena Kelley, Otto Kelley and Wilder Bauer - - along with her siblings, Catherine May, Ted May, David May and her father William F. May. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly (Wilson) May.
There will be a Celebration of Life with an Open House from 4-8pm on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Wahill Farm, 857 Pine Ranch Rd., Batesville, IN 47006. All who knew Lisa are invited to attend and share your memories.
Lisa donated over her life and she also assisted, worked with, and gave to www.onecommunityonefamily.org in Batesville. You can call them or drop in locally at 920 County Line Road, Suite C (next door to the food pantry off Huntersville Road) to leave a memorial. However, donations may be made in her memory to any organization of your choice.
Please feel free to leave a memory or a message of comfort for Lisa's family in the online guestbook.
