Elisabeth "Beth" Schroeder, age 78, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at Sunrise of Naperville. She was born on October 13, 1946 in Aurora, IL.

Beth is survived by her loving children, Bobbi (Tim) Hays, nee Crist, Heather (Mike) Frakes, nee Crist, and Spencer Schroeder; her cherished grandchildren, Alexandria (John) Griffin, Benjamin (Molly) Hays, Jacob (Jenn) Hays, Aaron (Melissa) Hays, Timothy (Nicole) Frakes, and Shelby Frakes; her adored great-grandchildren, Mason, Oliver, Jaxson, Michael, Lily, Charlotte, Daniel, Oliver, Eleanor and Natalie; her dear brother, Bob (Linda) Whitney and sister, Ruth (the late John) Henning; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven L. Schroeder; her parents, Robert and Jean (nee Stubbs) Whitney; and her sister, Judy (Bill) Schmidt.

Beth was a woman of deep faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of her heart. She was a 30-year member of Village Baptist Church, Aurora, and taught Sunday school and bible classes throughout those years. Beth donated her time and talents to the church and was a generous supporter of the missions. She maintained an incredible work ethic her entire career and was an amazing care giver to her father and her husband. Beth loved gardening and respected all of God's creatures. Above all, family was the greatest treasure she possessed and the love she showered them with will live forever in their hearts.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Beth's life, memorial donations may be directed to the American Parkinson Disease Association at www.apdaparkinson.org , an organization she held dear to her heart and dedicated countless years volunteering and serving on their board.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 4:00-7:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. All are welcome to meet at Acacia Park Cemetery, Norridge, IL for the committal services following the service.
