Elise Huff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - West Military Dr. on Oct. 1, 2024.
Having given her life to the Lord some 40 years ago, Elise Eggleston Huff passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024, surrounded by the warmth of her home in San Antonio, Texas. The same city welcomed her into the world on December 24, 1953.
A 1972 graduate of Highlands High School, Elise furthered her education with business courses at San Antonio College, equipping her with the skills that would see her excel as a bookkeeper and receptionist for various companies. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly when she founded "Hatbox Homes," a small business that crafted dollhouses, each one a testament to her prayer-driven creativity and attention to detail.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Elsie Eggleston, and her husband, Stafford E. Huff, she leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication through her sons, Barry (Cresencia) and Russell (Dalanda Cobb) Huff, and her cherished grandchildren, Anelisa, Benjamin, and Timothy. Her brothers, Spencer (Argie), Joel "Randy" (Cristina), Jon (Ofelia), and Elliot "Paul" (Pamela Jo) Eggleston, along with her sister, Thomasine "Tommie" Johnson, will forever hold her memory dear, as will her nephews, nieces, extended family, and a multitude of friends.
Elise's life was a testament to the power of faith and the joy of giving. She was a Prayer Warrior, finding solace and strength in studying the Bible and praying in solitude. Her love for Christmas was unmatched, as she reveled in the season of giving, always finding the perfect gifts that brought smiles without the burden of expense.
Let us celebrate Elise's journey as one marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and an enduring faith.
