Elise Preston

In Loving Memory of Elise A. Preston, a resident of Macomb, Michigan, who passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 64.
She was born to the late Donald and Ellen Lucas. She is survived by her children, Brett (Sarawan) Preston and Brandon (Tang) Preston. Grandmother to Louis, Braden, Spencer and Malisa. Siblings Tom (Barb) Lucas, Mary (Hugh) Thornton. Aunt to Ashley (Conner) Murdock, Cammie (Christopher) Quarto, and Brad (Jessica) Lucas.
She will be missed greatly by her best friends Denise (Roger) Akers, Julie (Greg) Kitchen, Paula (John) Erhardt and Sharon (Mike) Gores.
She loved being a part of the Utica Moms Club - whom she was always so excited for their annual gathering; as well as the Beaumont Hospital ladies, whom she worked with for the majority of her career.
Her hobbies included walking, riding her bike, concerts, playing cards and enjoying good music. She enjoyed having a beer outside on the patios in downtown Rochester and Utica, and loved eating John's smoked salmon with different cheeses and fruit. She also loved going to the casino, as well as cheering on her hometown teams - the Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings.
Her final resting place will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery (Rochester). A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 11:00am - 4:00pm at Wasik Funeral Home (Shelby Township), with eulogies at 3:00pm. For those unable to attend in person, the eulogies will be available by Livestream from this page.
As this is meant to be a celebration of Elise's life, we welcome guests to dress in her favorite colors - red, blue, army green or olive green. Black is also acceptable.
In lieu of flowers, we will be purchasing a park bench in Elise's honor at Innovation Hills Park in Rochester. Donations may be made at the Celebration of Life or via https://www.givesendgo.com/elise-park-bench.
