Elizabeth Jane Byrd

Rogersville: Elizabeth Jane Byrd, age 89, of Rogersville, went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, in Dandridge, TN.
Born in Hawkins County, TN, on May 11, 1936. She was a pastor's wife who served alongside her husband, Reverend Grady M. Byrd. She loved to help others, take care of her family, cook, and welcome others into her home.
Jane is survived by one son and two daughters, Gary Byrd and wife ReVonda Catron Byrd of Dandridge, TN; Regina Byrd Heath and husband Mark Heath of Chilhowie, VA; and Rebecca Byrd Booth and her husband Gary Booth of Rustburg, VA. Her legacy is also carried on by four grandchildren, Jessica Byrd Gass (husband, Robert Gass), Steven Heath, Rachel Heath Germano, (husband James Germano) and Callie Booth; and six great-grandchildren, Caroline Gass, Christopher Gass, Ezra Germano, Elizabeth Germano, Isaac Germano, and Lydia Germano; several nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Grady M. Byrd; her father, George F. Tunnell; mother, Ruby Kite Tunnell, brother, Jimmy Tunnell.

Jane Byrd will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Her life and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and were touched by her life.
Visitation hours will be 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 28, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Choptack Baptist Church Cemetery.
