Elizabeth (Curry) Callaway, 92, of Chauncey, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, at her residence. She was born on May 30th, 1930, in Delbarton, WV to the late Kenna Curry and Cora (Ferrell) Curry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laden Callaway; one son, Tommy Callaway; and one daughter, Donna.
She was the secretary for Monaville Grade School. She also was a member of Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Chauncey, WV for sixty years.
Those left to cherish her loving memory includes three sons, Harry (Faye) Callaway of LaGrange, OH, Danny (Debbie) Callaway of Barnabus, WV, and Mike (Lisa) Callaway of Summersville, WV; three daughters, Anita Crum of Columbia Station, OH, Janet Clark of Cow Creek, WV, and Linda Blevins of Morristown, TN; eighteen grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; her “Monaville Grade School Gang”; and special friend, Sarah Pennington.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, July 15th, 2022, at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville, WV for all their love, care, and compassion towards their mother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
