Betty was born in Buena Vista, Iowa. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (nee Frieberger) and William Dean. She married her beloved husband, Michael E. Capone and they raised their family in Northvale, NJ. They moved to Berkeley Heights in 1982.
Betty was a hands-on homemaker raising her five children and she assisted her husband with their family business. She was a faithful and devoted church member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Northvale and of Church of the Little Flower in Berkeley Heights. Betty was active in many ministries at Little Flower over the years such as the bereavement ministry, feeding meals to the homeless, bible study and prayer group, and she enjoyed attending daily Mass. She was an amazing cook and she loved baking Christmas cookies and decorating the house for her family at Christmas time. Her greatest love of all was her family. She cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren playing Go Fish and Rummy and assembling jigsaw puzzles. She loved music. She loved to sing, and she loved to dance.
Betty is survived by her five loving children and their spouses Beverly Campora (Alan), James Capone (Maureen), Paul Capone (Anne), Patricia Rokosz (Robert) and Elizabeth Filoramo (Robert); her dear sister, Ann Gurioli ; her cherished grandchildren James (Melanie), Thomas (Amanda), Patricia Gottsman (Bryan), David, Robert (Janet), Catherine Zeier (Chris), Timothy (Christina), Francis (Kristen), Caroline Brummer (Sloane), Michael (Megan), Rebecca Scalora (Dylan), Maria, Christopher, Rose Joachim (Stephen) and Robert; great grandchildren Sophia, Rebecca, Eve, Charlotte, Luke, Jasmine, Anthony, Edward, Dominic, Isabella, Elizabeth, Andrew, Mia, Jianni, Julianna, Alison, Emma, Jack, Benjamin, Harper, and Anthony. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael E. Capone in 2007 and her nine siblings.

I remember aunt Betty from when she was young girl, she was playing the accordion at that time. And really I have not seen Betty or heard from her in all these years. My mother Marie Beith was her sister. I´m very sorry for your loss she was a lovely lady. Sincerely, Jean Roberts
