Elizabeth (Bette) Jane Clauss, age 77, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2025. Bette was born on June 7, 1947 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (grannie), great-grandmother, and friend.
Bette and her husband Robert Clauss were married for 47 years and resided in the beautiful mountains of Tajique, New Mexico. Bette enjoyed living the simple life and was a devoted wife and homemaker. For many years Bette worked along side her husband Robert in the trucking industry and traveled the United States many times over. Bette was happiest in her mountain retreat and loved to be surrounded by family and friends any chance she got. She was the epitome of love, kindness and generousity to all those who had the pleasure to know her. She will be deeply missed..
She is preceded in death by her parents Manual Chavez and Rosalie Cano, brothers George Chavez, Harry Chavez and Daniel Chavez.
Bette is survived by her husband Robert Clauss, son's Louie Cano, wife Elizabeth, Nick Cano, wife Brooke, Robbby Clauss and wife Jessica. She left behind 9 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters of Bette, Orie Zamora, Dottie Sinkey, Josie Cordero, Rosaline Cordero, Ralph Chavez, Kathy Caldwell, Lora Cano, Terri Chavez and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on January 16, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 85 NM Hwy-344, Edgewood NM 87105
Viewing will begin at 9:30am followed immediately by a Rosary from 10am-11am and Mass Funeral Service starting at 11am.
Interment will be at Martinez Cemetery.
Celebration of Life to be held at Heaven Bound Ministries, 4311 12th Ct NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 at 2:30.
