Dear Robert,
We first met when you guys were looking for a new house to call home in our cozy neighborhood. As soon as I saw your interest I poked my nose in where it didn´t belong, my usual modus operandi, and recommended a fair price. It was overpriced and rest is history.
The first time, of which there were many, you came over to give me a hand with one minor emergency or another, you announced, "your friendly neighborhood hubby at your service". I asked what I could do for him in return, he said surprise me.
Then was born our long exchange of favor paid with the Deviled Eggs he loved.
I am eternally grateful for your kindness and friendship, all the way up to and including helping me get a large dirty nasty Opossum that broke into my kitchen and broke so many glasses and dishes over a period of 5 days, while leaving behind piles of dirt and filth. You didn´t blink and came back the next day to fix the screen door so no one could ever get in again!
Always so calm. Always so gentle. Always so kind.
You are sorely missed. Till we meet again neighbor.

Oh Robert...I can´t believe you are gone. You were the best neighbor, always willing to help. I knew I could pick up the phone and you would be there. I remember when you guys moved in and you had your 5 year plan. I was happy that didn´t stick, ha! We had the best laughs at the neighborhood parties over the years. My deepest condolences to Becky, Ben, Season and your entire family. You will always be the `Mayor´ of our street. Rest easy buddy.
