Elizabeth "Betty" Collier

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Collier, 94, of York, ME, formerly of Lynnfield, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ada Gemma (Bovenzi) Melican.
Betty was born in Boston and raised in Nahant alongside her siblings; Kenneth Uva, Michael Uva, and Jayne Solimine. After graduating from Lynn English, she married the love of her life, Everett E. Collier, in July 1949. The couple began their life together in Swampscott, later moving to Hamilton, and eventually settling in Lynnfield, where they raised their family and lived until 2018.
A devoted wife and extraordinary mother, Betty was deeply involved in her children's education and community life. She served as a crossing guard for the town of Lynnfield and was a dedicated Den Mother for the local Cub Scouts. Together with Everett, she was actively engaged in both local and state Republican politics. In her free time, Betty loved to go to the beach and spend time with her family.
Betty will be dearly missed and is survived by her loving sons; Scott Collier and his wife Mary of Maine, and Greg Collier and his wife Jennie of Nevada, beloved grandsons; Matthew Collier and Adrian Collier, as well as her sister in-law, Diane Uva of Texas, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129) Lynn.
