Elizabeth attended the Pine Ridge High School (Formally Oglala Community High School). Elizabeth was married to Thomas Conroy, Jr. in 1958 and together they had four children: LaFawn Conroy, Janine Conroy, Thomas Scott Conroy, and Michael Conroy, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Elizabeth worked as a teacher for the Shannon County School District where she retired after 44 years.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Thomas Conroy, Jr., and family members, LaFawn Conroy, Michael Conroy, Charles and Patricia Conroy, Joanne Conroy, and numerous relatives.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Louise Shangreau; sisters, Cecelia Cottier, Mildred Apple, Bernice Waters, Flora Bradford, and Shirley Tapio; brothers, Calvin Shangreau, Wesley Shangreau, Charles Shangreau, and Bernard Shangreau; daughter, Jeanine Conroy; and son, Thomas Scott Conroy.
Pallbearers are Cody Conroy, Bradley Conroy, John Conroy, Jeremy Ringing Shield, James Red Cloud, Brandon Shangreau, and Torin Conroy.
Honorary Pallbearers are Justin Conroy, Lou Conroy, Calvin Conroy, Wesley Shangreau, Larry Waters, Jim Bill Ross, Ken Ross, Alan Ross, Duane Ross, Archie Sierra, Sr., Jim Cottier, Bill Ringing Shield, Ross Janis, Nav Tapio, Don Allen and All Friends & Relatives.
Visitation Services: Visitation services will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Batesland School Gymnasium in Batesland, SD.
Funeral Services: 12:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Batesland School Gymnasium in Batesland, SD
Officiating: Mother Michelle Dayton
Burial Services: 2:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Gordon City Cemetery in Gordon, NE.
