Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 100
Elizabeth Daniel (nee Svec), 100, of Roseland, NJ passed away on July 18, 2023.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10 am at St. Philomena Church, Livingston, NJ with entombment of cremains to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Funeral services are entrusted to Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, Roseland, NJ.

Betty was born and raised in Clifton, NJ and graduated from Clifton HS in 1939 she married the love of her life, Edward Daniel, in 1941 and they spent 77 happy years together before his death in 2018. Over the years they resided in Packanack Lake, NJ, Clifton, Chadwick Beach Island and Toms River before finally moving to Roseland to be closer to family.

Most of Betty's working career was as the office manager of Local Carriers in Clifton, a trucking company started by her husband and his partners. Betty was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes in Clifton. In her spare time and during their retirement, she enjoyed golfing and traveling with Ed across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in their mobile home. Betty was also an excellent cook and baker.

Betty was pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph and Catherine Svec, her husband, Ed, and her son, Gary.

Surviving is her beloved daughter Eileen Banyar and her husband, Jack; cherished grandchildren, Matthew Banyar and Kate Portman and her husband, Gary; dear great-grandsons, Christopher and Michael Portman.
