Elizabeth A. (Currant) "Betty" DiLego, 83 of North Adams, MA died on Saturday October 7, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams, MA on January 10, 1940, a daughter of William G. Currant and Dora Emma (Benoit) Currant. She graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School with the class of 1957.
Betty was first employed at Cascade Paper Co. and then was the manager of her husband's accounting firm, Paul F. DiLego Accounting. After her retirement, she worked in the office at Carpinello's Service Center.
Betty was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a longtime member of the North Adams Board of Registrars. She enjoyed meetings with the "Wednesday Night Supper Club" and vacations to Cape Cod and Las Vegas, playing Bingo and working on puzzles. In her younger years, she went camping and attended many craft fairs. She was always trying new recipes. Betty loved watching Days of Our Lives.
She was the widow of Paul Francis DiLego who died on August 14, 2002. They were married on January 1, 1981 in Hawaii. Survivors include two sons, John (Diane) Carpinello of North Adams and Paul F. (Kim) DiLego Jr of North Adams and three grandchildren, Jessica Carpinello, Michael Carpinello and Maia X. DiLego. She also leaves her niece, Leslie Lake. Her brother, William R. Currant died in December of 1970.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Betty DiLego will be celebrated Saturday October 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Souhview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA will be Friday from 5-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to POP Cares or the AYJ Fund in care of the funeral home. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
