Ronald R. "Ronnie" DiLego, 81, of North Adams, Mass died peacefully at Bay State Medical Center, Springfield, Mass on Saturday June 14th, 2025.
Son of James and Eva (Blanquart) DiLego he was a lifelong resident of North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph School. Ronald worked for his father at DiLego's Restaurant on Eagle Street and then for the North Adams Regional Hospital, retiring in 1997 with 35 years of service. Ronald also ran a floor cleaning business maintaining the floors for several downtown retail establishments for many years. He was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile for everyone.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, a long-time member of the Sons of Italy and a fellow of the Knights of Columbus.
Ronald was married to Diane (Perrreault) DiLego on September 7, 1985 at Notre Dame church.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Diane of North Adams and his sister Maryann DiLego of Adams, his brother James (Barbara) Wilson of Williamstown, his mother-in-law Claire Perreault and sister-in-law Michelle (Bruce) Cady of Dalton, brother-in-law Marc Perreault of New York and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was predeceased by his sister Joan Dargie and her husband Henry Dargie, his brothers Vincent and Paul DiLego and their wives Patricia and Elizabeth DiLego; his father-in-law William Perreault, his sister-in-law Therese Perreault and brother-in-law William Perreault.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 26 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams, MA. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery in the family plot. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA are Thursday morning June 26 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
