Elizabeth Ann Faherty, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on December 10, 2025, in
Brick, NJ at the age of 78.
Born on August 13, 1947, in
Jersey City, NJ, to the late John and Catherine (nee Ruddy) Healy, Elizabeth was a cherished sister to her late siblings Sister Mary Ellen Healy, Loretta Castrovinci, John Healy, and Martha Healy. Elizabeth married William Faherty on October 4, 1969, and together they shared fifty-six years of marriage, filled with countless treasured moments. Their love and partnership were the foundation upon which they built a family, having two sons, William and Andrew. They were overjoyed to become grandparents to their precious granddaughter, Keira.
Elizabeth's professional journey was marked by her attentive and compassionate nature. She served as a Margin Clerk at Merrill Lynch, a Billing Clerk at Point Pleasant Hospital, a Sales Associate at Kids R Us and Steinbach, and as a Home Health Aide for Visiting Homemaker Services.
A devout Catholic, Elizabeth's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She found joy in singing in the choir at the Church of St. Justin the Martyr, and her spiritual devotion was a source of inspiration to her family and friends.
Elizabeth had a passion for horses, finding solace in their grace and beauty. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time at concerts, especially when her son William was skillfully playing the violin, and watching her son Andrew attempt to play baseball and basketball in his younger years. She loved listening to John Denver, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Neil Diamond, the Irish Tenors, and Celtic Thunder. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her beloved family and friends.
Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her husband, William Faherty; her sons, William (Christina) Faherty and Andrew Faherty; her granddaughter, Keira Faherty; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Healy and MaryAnn Faherty; her brothers-in-law, Walter Faherty and John (Debby) Faherty; and her many nieces and nephews, Mary Catherine, Gina, Lori, Vanessa, Lynn, Jeanette, Patti, Mary Alice, Carolyn, Joanne, Lisa, John, Basil, Matthew, John, Richard, Michael, and Brian.
Elizabeth's presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family and friends. Her ability to find humor in everyday moments was a gift that she generously shared, bringing lightness to even the most challenging times.
Blessed be God for having created you and giving you to us, our dear Elizabeth. May you rest in peace.
