A Funeral Mass for Patricia Faherty, 82, of Southlake, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church, 4014 Simpson St, Dallas, Texas 75246, with Father Edison Vela officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Mrs. Faherty passed away on October 21, 2025, in Southlake.
Patricia Deane (Patterson) Faherty was born on July 24, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edward Conley Patterson and Dorothy Hardin (Denny) Patterson. She graduated from high school in Missouri and also attended Webster University. Patricia was a dedicated stay-at-home mom. She had a passion for caring for and adopting animals, riding horses, participating in community service and fundraising efforts, selling real estate, playing bridge, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, water aerobics, and listening to Elvis. Patricia loved having a house full of family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edward Patterson; her parents-in-law, Gregory T. Faherty and Mildred Faherty; and by her brother-in-law, Dale Snodsmith.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory T. Faherty, Jr.; her children, Tracey Scopelite, Amy Faherty, and Gregory T. Faherty III; her son-in-law, Joseph Scopelite III; her daughter-in-law, Renee Faherty; her sisters, Sheri Perkins and Denny Patterson; her sisters-in-law, Brigid Patterson, Joyce Kesting, and Sharon Snodsmith; her brother-in-law, James Kesting; her grandchildren, Chelsea Scott, Joseph Scopelite, IV, Zachary Braud, Hallie Kaisand, Nicholas Kaisand, Jake Kaisand, Winter Faherty, and Ronan Faherty; and her great-grandchildren, Penelope Scott and Millie Scott.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Faherty III, Joseph Scopelite IV, Nicholas Kaisand, Jake Kaisand, Ronan Faherty, Zachary Braud, Ryan Patterson, and Samuel Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Animals, Mabank, Texas either online at www.friendsoftheanimals.org or by mail at P.O. Box 5455, Mabank, Texas 75156.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
