Elizabeth Fens

FENS, Mrs. Elizabeth Braspenning, 90, of North Chesterfield, returned to her heavenly father on January 10, 2013. Born in the Netherlands on October 7, 1922, she immigrated to the United States with her husband and three oldest children in 1951. She subsequently bore four additional children and spent her life caring for her husband and family. She later worked as a restaurant cook until retirement. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jacobus Henrikus and Robertus Josephus; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Petrus Gerardus Fens; sons, Johannes (Mary), Cornelius and Petrus; daughters, Johanna Carneal (Gale) and Goverdina; and one sister, Francisca Gosens (Ad); 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Road, N. Chesterfield, Va.
