Elizabeth J. “Betty” Fischer, 83, died Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Carle BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
Betty was born on May 13, 1940, in Oak Park, IL, to John Francis and Doris Mae Rogers Walsh. She married Severn B. Pearson, III, on July 27, 1958. She later married Herb Kelly and was most recently married to Mike Fischer.
Surviving family includes daughter, Kim (Kevin) Kearney of El Paso; son, Severn (Julie) Pearson of Hoffman Estates, IL; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Morgan Ryder, and two sisters, Nancy Massoud and Audrey Mach.
Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in El Paso where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023. Father Robert Rayson will officiate. Visitation be held one hour prior to services at the church. Cremation will be accorded. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting family with arrangements.
