William Krieghauser

William E. Krieghauser, 87 of Gridley, Ill. passed away on February 12, 2026. at his residence.

Bill was born September 13, 1938 in Normal, Ill. a son of Lester E. and Ada Blanche Clark Krieghauser. He married Phyllis Sutter on May 19, 1967 at Gridley, Ill. She survives.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Vickie (Bill) Frantz of Normal, and Sherry Henderson of El Paso; two sisters, Shirley Wilson of Lexington and Sandra Giles of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren, Brandon Punke, Travis (Samantha) Punke, Dylan Punke, Brady (Kacie) Miller, McKinsey (Pierce) Furrow and Maggie (Brad) Clark. Ten great-grandchildren also survive, Kylie, Alexi, Lucy, Augustine, Ada Caprice, Jadynn, Adelaide, Amos, Ezra and William.

Bill was a member at Christ Community Church, Gridley where services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services. Rev. Grant Stauter will officiate. Casual attire is requested for those that attend services. Ruestman Harris Funeral Home, El Paso is assisting his family with arrangements.

Bill was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was an avid stock car enthusiast. He owned and built several dirt track cars. He was inducted in the Illinois Stock Car Hall of Fame. He owned and built several track champions at Fairbury Speedway.

Most of all Bill loved his grandchildren. He attended most all of their extracurricular events and was their biggest fan.
