Born December 31, 1987 – West Valley City, Utah Returned Home December 2025

Elizabeth Ma’ata Folaumoeloa—known to most as Ata—arrived on New Year’s Eve, making sure the world started every year with a little extra sparkle. She was the beloved daughter of Viliami Fifita Folaumoeloa and Lesieli Lakataha Folaumoeloa, and from day one, she inherited the very best traits of her family. Raised by the Folaumoeloa and Masi clans, Ata was truly a child of the village, and she carried that love and strength everywhere she went.

Ata was hilarious, resilient, progressive, and steadfast—a bold ta’ahine who never left you guessing where you stood. She was a natural-born leader, from adolescence to adulthood. At Granger High School, she served as Senior Class Vice-President, earning the admiration of educators and peers alike. Always looking for ways to give back, Ata completed her CNA licensure and Medical Assisting Certification while still in high school—because why wait to make a difference?

She lived by the Tongan value of Tauhi Vaha’i, nurturing relationships with grace and loyalty. Ata loved fiercely and showed up when you needed her most—even if you didn’t realize you needed her. She was the life of every party, armed with a legendary laugh that could light up a room and a playlist that could rival any DJ. Her music taste was eclectic: R&B, Rap, Old School, Bollywood, Tongan classics, and Reggae. If there was a beat, Ata was vibing.

Ata had style for days—always rocking the perfect fit, perfume, and lip gloss. She was a woman of refined taste, and she made sure you knew it.

She is survived by her loving mother, Lesieli Lakataha Folaumoeloa, and her sister, Ini Folaumoeloa. She is preceded in death by her father, Viliami Fifita Folaumoeloa, who surely welcomed her home with open arms.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84084.

Ata’s story is one of laughter, love, and loyalty—a reminder to live boldly, love deeply, and never underestimate the power of a good playlist. And if you hear someone laughing so hard they can’t breathe, don’t worry—it’s just Ata reminding us to keep the party going.
