Erlene Cluff Lewis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on November 30, 2025, in Henderson, Nevada, at the age of 80.
Born October 6, 1945, in Mesa, Arizona, Erlene was the youngest child of Henry LeRoy and Elva Kartchner Cluff. She grew up surrounded by three older brothers and four sisters whom she adored. She graduated from Mesa High School.
On September 24, 1964, She married Samuel Sheldon Lewis Jr. in the Mesa Arizona Temple and together they raised a large family of 8 children.
Erlene had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loved serving others in a multitude of ways. Her family was her biggest treasure and she loved all of them very much. She was very talented and used her talents to bless the lives of family and friends, with the gifts she made, and kind acts of service. She had a very compassionate heart, and made friends wherever she went. Her life was one of faith, love, creativity, and service, a legacy that continues to bless all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Samuel Sheldon Lewis Jr., Parents, Henry LeRoy Cluff and Elva Kartchner Cluff, Brothers, Milford Cluff, Dale Cluff, Ervin Cluff, sisters Elda Hale, Twila Snow, and Dorene Cluff.
She is survived by sister Karen Kartchner of Blanding, Utah, and her children, Shelley Lewis Binks (Wade),North Ogden, UT, Sherri Lewis Calder (Greg) Idaho Falls, ID, Sheldon Lewis (Nicole),Sandy UT, Darrell Lewis (Rebecca) Riverton, UT, Linnae Lewis Lyman (Taylor) Henderson, NV, Larry Lewis (Natalie)Spanish Fork, UT, Marci Lewis Henderson, (Jon) Henderson, NV, Peggy Lewis James, (Matt) 33 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren with 4 on the way.
