Amity BreeAnn Mathews, 36, passed away in Henderson, Nevada on December 4, 2025. She was born on September 4, 1989 to Marcus Mathews (Father) and Pennie Mathews (Mother). She attended Las Vegas High School, graduating in 2007. She then went to further her education at ITT Tech, where she earned 2 associates degrees: Forensic Science and Applied Science in Computer Forensics.
In 2018, she moved to Kentucky, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Jeff Holmes. She worked for Light & Wonder as a field service dispatcher. Amity accepted Christ at a young age. She was active in the New Bethel youth choir and praise team as a dancer and instructor. She was an animal lover and enjoyed many outlets to show her creativity, such as cooking, gaming, painting, drawing, and crocheting.
She left to cherish her memory: Jeff Holmes (Husband), Nicolas Swonger (older brother), Mandie Ray (older sister), Jared Mathews (younger brother), Kyra Mathews (younger sister), Marcus Mathews (father), Pennie Mathews (mother), Mable Wedd (Grandmother), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W Adams, Las Vegas, Nevada 89106, on December 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM
