Obituary of Elizabeth A. Fraser
Elizabeth Ann Fraser, "Liz" a long-time resident of Town of Poughkeepsie passed away on July 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Liz was born to James & Ann Kenny in Brooklynn NY. After high school, she worked on Wall Street. She married her grade school classmate Justin and they were married for 53 years. They moved to Poughkeepsie when Justin was working for IBM. Together they have 8 children; Geriann (Darrell), John Justin Fraser, Jr.(Julia), James (Ann Marie), Maryellen (Louis), Kenneth, William (Jennifer), Elizabeth and Daughter-in-law Connie. Elizabeth and her husband have 18 grandchildren Justin Robert, (Erin) and Anthony, Amy (Kody), Paul (Caitlin) Nathan (Taylor), Justin, Eileen, Alexis (Jeffrey), Rachael and James, Timothy, Elizabeth, Christina, Kenneth, John, Dominick, Matthew and Jared. She also had 5 great grandchildren Patrick, Anna, Eleanor, Charlie & Harrison. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Paul. She was a devoted member of St. Martins de Porres Church where she and her husband were involved in many activities while raising their children. Liz spent much of her time with the children and also foster children. She was a huge sports fan. She loved the New York Yankees and Wimbledon Tennis. She worked at Warring School as a Teacher Aide. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at Grace Smith House. The Family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice and CareMount Medical for their care and support during Elizabeth's illness. A mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Matin de Porres on Saturday July 9 at 9:45am followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
