Elizabeth Gabianelli

Elizabeth (Betty) K. Gabianelli, age 97 years of Southbury, formerly of Seymour. She entered peaceful rest on November 10, 2024; she was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. Gabianelli,Sr. Elizabeth was born in Johnson, Scotland on February 16, 1927, daughter of James and Jane Martin; she came to the United States at the age of three. She was retired from the former Kmart department store in Ansonia where she worked as a Sales Associate. Betty was a former longtime resident of Seymour, and she was a communicant of Saint Nicholas Parish – Church of the Good Shepherd. Betty was a social butterfly who loved to spend time with friends and family. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with "the girls" from Kmart. She was a lifelong fan of the Ansonia Chargers and the CT Hurricanes. She loved spending winters in Florida. Betty loved cheering on her great grandchildren at their many sporting events.
Betty leaves her loving family including her son Frank Gabianelli, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Argyle, NY; her Daughter in law Linda Gabianelli of Southbury; her brother, Arthur Martin and his wife Mildred of Ft. Myers, FL; her four grandchildren, Frank Gabianelli, III and his wife Caryn of Seymour, Wendy Burns and her husband Kenny of Seymour, Dina Mastroni and her husband Chris of Southbury, and Todd Gabianelli and his wife Liz of Arlington Heights, IL; and also her five great grandchildren, Jacob Romano and Jesse Romano both of Seymour, Rylan Mastroni of Southbury, Mia and Gracie Gabianelli both of Arlington Heights, IL. Betty also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her son Thomas A. Gabianelli along with her brothers Bill, Jim, John, Doug, Bobby and sister Jean Schroeter.
Calling Hours will be Friday, November 15th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. A Memorial Service in celebration of Elizabeth's life will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
