Elizabeth Jean Carter Guyton, 90, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Guyton Jr. and daughter Patricia Jean Guyton.
Elizabeth was an outgoing, loving lady. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, trips to the beach, fishing, collecting seashells and going to church. Among her many talents she was known for the gift of communication, playing the piano and flying an airplane or two. She often made friends with anyone she met and always gave a helping hand whenever needed. She leaves a legacy of compassion, joy and tenacity in the hearts of all that love her.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Eddie Guyton (Carol) of Hope Mills, and five grandchildren, April Nicholas (Danny), Megan Sandoval (Jacob), Taylor Zeppetella (Anthony), CJ Fueller, and Chance Watson (Kelly),11 great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Reverend Charles Hester officiating. Burial followed the services in the Pine Crest Cemetery.
