RHAME A GUYTON, JR.
Rhame A Guyton, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after a short illness. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Guyton was born in Marion, a son of the late Rhame A. Guyton, Sr. and Evelyn Roth Guyton. He was also preceded in death in death by step- daughter Sarah "Cameron" B. Oakley and a brother, Carl Guyton. He was a graduate of Wofford College and was currently employed with Anderson Brothers Bank in the Commercial Loans Department. Rhame was a long time member of Marion Presbyterian Church and Wahee River Club.
Surviving are his wife. Susan "Susie" Ward Guyton of the home; step- daughter, Mary Anna B. Gainey of Darlington, SC and step-son, E. Kincaid "Caid" Bonnoitt also of Darlington, SC. Grandchildren, Sophia "Sophie" F. Oakley of the home; Hanna G. Herndon (Brennan) of Florence, SC and Ashton "Trace" Gainey of Darlington, SC.; brother, William "Bill" F. Guyton (Janet) of Columbia, SC; sister, Evelyn G. Stuart of Mullins, SC; as well as many nieces and nephews
Memorials may be made to the Marion Presbyterian Church, 106 S Main Street, Marion, SC 29571 or to the Marion Animal Shelter, 123 Cat and Dog Court Mullins, SC 29574.
