Dr. Elizabeth Sue Hussey, 62, died peacefully in her home on August 17, 2025. Beth was born on November 19, 1962, in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Hussey was a veterinarian who practiced in Columbia, MO for more than 30 years. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

She is survived by her sister, Bridget Mary Hussey, father John Hussey, Aunt Jeanne Lane, dog Emma, cat Carmine, and horses Billy, Rusty, and Lola. Many other family members and friends also survive.

Dr. Hussey was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Sue (Lane) Hussey.

She was an officer and active member for decades of Columbia Dressage and Combined Training Association.

Memorials may be made to Fayette Area Community Theatre, Endless Options, Sunny Oak Equine Assisted Activities, your local animal shelter, or your local public media.

Family and friends would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and Hometown Homecare.

Dr. Hussey cared for 3 generations of my family´s pets. There aren´t enough words to express how much of saint she was. The Lockett and Anderson family will miss her so much. We hope she´s resting in heaven with every animal she´s helped pass to the other side.
