Elizabeth Bernie Koss

Betty (Elizabeth Nusbaum) Koss, 94, of Scottsdale, passed peacefully on March 13th, 2024. She was born in Glendale AZ to her parents Oliver and Elizabeth "Bea" (Watson) Nusbaum on Feb 16,1930. She attend Creighton Elementary, North High School, and Phoenix college/ASU nearly completing her Education/Home Economics Degree in 1952.
In 1951 she married her beloved husband Charles "Chuck" Koss. Together they had 2 children Linda (Daniel) Kidd and Lt. Col. John "Fritz" (Mary) Koss.
She was proceeded in death by her sister Margaret Anna who died tragically days before Betty was born, her Mother Bea Headen, Father Oliver Nusbaum, brother John Nusbaum, and husband Charles Koss.
She is survived by her 2 children, 5 Grandchildren Donald Kidd II, Bettina (Tom) Kidd, Samantha (Nathan) Oubre, Alexander Koss, and Christopher (Elsa) Koss, 4 great-grandchildren Samuel Quinn, Crew Quinn, Leah Oubre, and Conner Oubre, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews and their families.
Betty often said she never lived in a home without hot/cold running water, an indoor bathroom, and a telephone, as she was proud of her Father's job with Salt River Project. Betty was known to have an incredibly sweet and sunny personality, for her love of Sports, and for her never-ending idioms and jingles. She will be missed by everyone she touched.
