Elizabeth Ann Lighter (Parrish), 91, passed away on June 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hampton Lighter, her son, David H. Lighter, and grandson Dustin Brice Lighter.
Elizabeth was born in Frankfort, KY to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Warren Parrish on April 4, 1933. She was the youngest of seven children. She is survived by her three children, Patty Bender (Tony), Roger Lighter (Gladys), and Rachel Lighter (Barbara) and seven grandchildren; Andrew Bender (Kate), Scott Bender (Courtney), Hilary Whaley (Aaron), April Pry (Brandon), Amanda Petrie (Derek), Adam Lighter (Michelle), Angelica Shaw and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a devoted member of Southeast Christian Church since 1969. She was extremely dedicated to various charitable endeavors at both Southeast Christian and Hospice of Louisville. She will be missed by her family and numerous close friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Louisville or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00/noon at Southeast Christian Church Main Campus (920 Blankenbaker Parkway Louisville, KY 40243).
