Elizabeth Diane "Liz" Cox, age 37, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Woodlands Memorial Hospital.
Elizabeth was born April 14, 1988, in Pasadena, Texas to Vicki Lynn Carpenter and Leonard Bohannon. She graduated in 2007, from Centerville High School. Elizabeth enjoyed various outdoor activities, but was a true lover of the beach and fishing. Elizabeth and Chad married October 11, 2014, and soon welcomed their son, Clayton. She was overjoyed to have a family. Elizabeth loved her family and to host get-togethers that they would all enjoy. She also enjoyed cooking.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Carpenter; mother, Vicki Lynn Carpenter Bohannon; nephew, Robert Bohannon; and paternal grandparents, John and Mutsie Bohannon.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Chad Cox; step-son, Connor Cox; son, Clayton Cox; sister, Christine Place; brother, Patrick Place; brother, Charles Bohannon and wife, Shelly; father, Leonard Bohannon and wife, Rhoda; nephews, Mark James Simmons and Keith Bohannon; nieces, Victoria, Celeste, Peyton, Samantha, and Hailey, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service celebrating Liz's life will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Mark Gray, of LIFEChurch, Leona, Texas, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Evans Chapel Cemetery, Leona, Texas. A time of visitation will take place prior to the service at 10 A.M.
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
