Elizabeth Loper, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Pearl, Mississippi, at the age of 85. Born on June 4, 1940, in Quimby, Louisiana, Elizabeth's life was marked by kindness, love, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.
For five years, she dedicated her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Dominic Hospital, where her compassionate nature shone brightly. Elizabeth's commitment to caring for others extended beyond her profession; she had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone she met.
Elizabeth had a variety of interests that filled her life with joy. She passionately loved flowers and found delight in running around with her sisters, creating cherished memories. Travel was a source of happiness for her, as well as spoiling her beloved dogs and caring for her grandchildren. Her culinary skills were a passion that often brought her family together around the dinner table, where her cooking would warm their hearts just as much as it filled their bellies. Elizabeth also enjoyed attending church at Jesus Name Tabernacle, where her faith played an integral role in her life.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Kyzer (Wade) of Pearl, MS; sons, David Grigsby (Rita) of Brandon, MS, and Donald Grigsby (Melissa) of Clinton, MS; sister, Charlene Patrick of Berwick, LA; brother, Buddy Frith of Florence, MS; along with 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Arbert Frith and Flo Sykes Frith; sister, Jean Fortenberry; and brother, Kenny Frith.
Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS, on December 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, leading up to the funeral service, which will begin at 12:00 PM. Following the service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Florence City Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Elizabeth Loper's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
