Elizabeth Mabrey Obituary
Elizabeth May Mabrey, 58, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 21, 1967 in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Betty Lee (White) Lewis. Liz graduated from Francisco High School and Harrison College with her Associates degree in medical coding. She held a few positions that she was particularly proud of; a home heath aid with Visiting Angels, a team supervisor at Hazleton industries, and a loader with FedEx. Liz had a pure and good soul that had love for anyone she met and would always look for the good in them. She attended Crossroads Church in Evansville until her health wouldn't allow it. Liz was an accomplished author who published two books, and had a third ready for publishing. She enjoyed her artistic side, where she would paint and sell concrete yard statues. Liz liked spending time riding her motorcycle and also riding passenger with her husband. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mom, proud nana, and amazing wife. Liz was loved by so many and is already deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lee Lewis; siblings, Carol Jean Lewis-Coomer and Carl Wayne Lewis; and brother-in-law, David Leroy Coomer.
Liz is survived by her husband, Martin Mabrey; children, Matthew Bullock, Jessica (Todd) Marvell, and Zeke Abel; father to Matthew and Jessica, Robert Bullock; grandchildren, Haylee Burriss, Bryli Marvell, and Maci Marvell; siblings, Patricia Ann Lewis-Coomer, Mary Joann (Gary) Stone, Betty Jo Hale Lewis, Jimmie Don Lewis, Bobby Joe (Freda) Lewis, George Thomas (Amyie) Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 PM Friday, October 31, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery.

I did not know Liz well, as she was my
Moms neighbor. However, I could tell she was a kind soul. She will be missed. Many prayers to Marty and family.
