Elizabeth McCann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenville Memorial Home on Dec. 31, 2025.
Elizabeth "Betty" McCann, 99, of Jersey City, NJ, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 30, 2025. Born on May 21, 1926, Betty lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and-most of all-a deep love of family. She leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Betty was born to Sylvester and Elizabeth (née Cox) Feeley and was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy McCann. She is survived by her five children: Gerald (Maureen), James (Betty), Thomas (Joanne), Elizabeth McCann, and Barbara McCann Stamato (Patrick). Betty was a devoted grandmother to Tara, Lauren, Elizabeth, Erin, Thomas, Alyse, Jimmy, Jonathan, Alex, and Gregory, and a proud great-grandmother of ten.
Betty is now reunited with her five siblings - Mary, Buddy, Bobby, Ronnie and Jack. She graduated from St. Paul's Grammar School and Holy Family Academy High School. Betty worked for many years as a bank teller at the Trust Company of New Jersey, Greenville Branch. Known for her warmth, sense of humor and lively spirit, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
