Elizabeth Ann Harrill McCusker "Betty", 89 of Forest City passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Earl Kenneth and Leora Delorias Hill Harrill. She was a 1956 graduate of Cool Springs High School and a 1969 graduate of the Seventh day Adventist School of Nursing in Fletcher. During her career, she served patients at Broughton Hospital, Rutherford Hospital, Charles George VA Medical Center and the Victoria Health Care Center.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Carmen Melinda Lovelace-Skeparnis and husband Polizonis; grandson James Craig Lovelace; granddaughter Laura Ashley Lovelace Yun and husband Song Man Yun; great grandchild Leona Kinsleigh Yun and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Don) B. McCusker, siblings Wilburn Fay Harrill, John Baxter Harrill, Charles Gaston Harrill, Austin Yates Harrill, Wilma Juanita Harrill Carver and Virginia Mae Harrill Hill.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Crowe's Mortuary with Rev. Marie Graeper officiating. Burial will follow at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, Shumont Road, Black Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charles George VA Medical Center,1110 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805 or the Community Pet Center, 861 Piney Ridge Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
