Elizabeth Morelock

Libby Morelock passed away at the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee on August 21, 2025. She was born Elizabeth Sue Fortner on June 7, 1933, in Plant City, Florida. Libby was the third child of six born to Walter and Willie Elise Fortner. She grew up in Plant City and graduated from Plant City High School. She was a member at Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School class. She enjoyed doing many activities over the years: gardening, Bingo at the Moose Lodge, and beach vacations with family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a cherished grandmother and great grandmother, and a caring sister and friend to those that knew her. Libby was known for her quick wit, and she will be missed beyond measure. Libby is survived by her three beloved children, Kenneth (Pam) Walker, Suzanne Keele, and Clinton Walker; 6 grandchildren, Beth Evans, Scott Brown, Amber Waller, April (Garrett) Warner, Melissa Keele, and Ashley (Michael) Morgan; 7 great grandchildren, Brett, Anna and Jacob Warner, Devin Brown, Damien Blair, CJ Hobert, and Bailey Morgan; sisters Gaynell Summers and Jeri Pool, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Morelock, brothers, Walter "Allen" and Joseph Fortner, sister Mildred Fortner, and son-in-law Wayne Keele. The family wishes to personally thank Kathleen Reid, APRN with Transitions Supportive Care for all the support, loving care and kindness during the last two years.
