Elizabeth Ortegon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Perches Funeral Home-West - El Paso on Oct. 6, 2022.
Elizabeth Ortegon, the world's most incredible mom & nana, was greeted in heaven on October 2nd, 2022. She was born on May 21st, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. Her childhood was spent in East L.A. with her parents and siblings, where she was affectionately known as "Bety." Her teen years were spent in parts of El Paso and Sunland Park. It was there where she met her husband, Oscar, and they began their family, raising five kids together.
Liz was a gentle, compassionate and loving soul who was cherished by many. She was an incredible caretaker who dedicated her life to others. She lovingly watched over many children throughout the years and her own father, Arturo, for 15 years. She touched the lives of everyone she met, always willing to lend a helping hand or share words of encouragement. She loved her iced coffee, crocs, band t-shirts, shopping, yard sales, tending to her garden and Christmas. Some of her life's happiest moments included attending concerts and spending time with her family.
She has been reunited in heaven with her mother, Licha and father, Arturo. She will be missed immensely by her husband Oscar, her children Oscar, Brenda, Josie, Adrian and Mark, her grandkids, "baby" Tommy, her "muchachitas" Carmela and Valentina, her dogs Duke and Rambo, her granddogs Jones, Bronx, Vito and Sonny - and countless other loved ones.
She was truly the love of our lives and we will honor her memory forever. Her visitation will be held Sunday, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Perches Funeral Home West and a mass will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Saint Jude Catholic Church.
