Elizabeth Marie "Poochie" Ovington, age 68 years, passed at Baptist Floyd Hospital, New Albany, Indiana, on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born in Clark Co. Kentucky, was raised in Portland (Louisville) and was a Registered Nurse. In her younger years she loved playing Softball, especially League Softball. Poochie loved tending to her flower garden and she greatly enjoyed travelling.. She was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Jeanette Ovington, her son, Bryan Ovington, her Uncle Bob Ovington, whom she cared for, her nephew, Joey Jones. and her dog, "Bentley" who she greatly missed. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Katherine Curl (David), Mary O. Marshall (David), Jeanette Phillips (Pat) John M. Jones Jr., Edd Jones, Jeaneen Jones (Tim Payne), and Tracy Lynn Tipton (Keith), her granddaughter, Madison Nicole Ovington and many Nieces and Nephews who were more like grandchildren to her. Visitation from 2:00 to 7:00pm Thursday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons Funerals & Family Cremation Care, 2114 W. Market St.Funeral Service will be held at 7:00pm.
Mt. Sterling Funeral Services: Visitation from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Taul Funeral Home, 109 E. Main St., Mt Sterling, Kentucky 40253, Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment, Longview-Bethel Cemetery, Bath Co., Kentucky. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
